Where It Works Best
The LAP36300MB makes the most sense in existing and legacy equipment that requires its particular LA breaker configuration. The 300A rating and three-pole arrangement are obvious checkpoints, but several other details can determine whether the breaker is a suitable replacement.
Pay particular attention to the MB short handle. If the existing installation depends on that shorter operator for panel-door clearance, a breaker with a different handle configuration may not fit the same way.
